The Kosovo refugee crisis is special for a number of reasons, most importantly for this thesis is because a majority of the refugees returned to their homes. In this article I will analyze UN Resolutions that effected the refugee return effort in Kosovo.

In 1951, The United Nations drafted a convention to serve as an obligation on states, as well as the High Commissioner for refugees, to protect refugees and their rights.  In this article, I will discuss refugee rights as represented in the 1951 convention and I will analyze states obligations to refugees in international law as recognized in that convention.
