The Commander In Chief Gets Nobel Peace Certificate

E-mail Print PDF

The commander in chief of the United States armed forces recieved today the Nobel peace medal and man-of-peace certficiate in Oslo. Must be a joke, you would say.

Well, it does sound like a joke, or at least, sounds like a bizarr news item in ight of last weeks news: The man just sent 30,000 more US soldiers to Afghanistan, bringing total number of the occupation force there to 100,000 man and woman. The winnr also managed to persuade other countries to send troops there, raising another 10,000 soldeirs in a week. He could easily qualify for getting the prize of best worrior:

He is the commander in chief of yet another war, down in Iraq, waged and perpetrated based on lies and propoganda about weapons of "mass destruction" that were never found until this day. That other war has resulted so far in the destruction en mass of the lives of millions of people.

Europe "Selected" Its First President and Foreign Minister

With the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty by all members of the European Union, Europe is moving one big step ahead along its integration path, or what could better be called the  process of "European sneaky federalism".

Europe has a president for the Council, and has  a high representative for foreign and security policy. Congratulations!

There might be lots of debate about what these labels actually cover, as well as to the cons and pros of such new positions, and JungleLaw intends to survey this debate soon. However, before one gets to evaluating the posts themselves, we have to pause a bit and notice the way these figures were put in place, because it is  indeed very distrubing, to say the least.

You may observe that they were not elected by the peoples of Europe. Neither was the president of the EU comission, nor any of the judges sitting on the all powerful European Court of Justice. Same goes for the president of the European Central Bank. That is to say, non of the officials of new Europe were ever elected by the citizenship. They were all selected.

"Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ordered the replacement of the US dollar by the euro in calculating the value of the country's Oil Stabilisation Fund (OSF).

The edict, issued on Sept 12, follows a recommendation by the trustees of the country's foreign reserves, Iran's English-language daily The Tehran Times said on Monday, citing Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency.

The move was taken because the government wishes to protect itself from the fragility of the US economy and the weak dollar." continue reading article at source

There is nothing wrong with such a move, as the US economy is really in a bad shape, while the FED continues printing money out of thin air. However, this is Iran who is taking the step, not others. Thus, how will this effect Iran - US relations in the midst of the so-called "iminent Iranian nuclear bomb" crisis?

To begin with, it is worth noting that the last time a state dared to take this step was followed by a war waged by the USA, which resulted in the occupation of that country until this very day. (Ps. If you havent figured it out yet, it was Iraq under Saddam Hussein). See: Iraq was no longer going to accept dollars for oil being sold under the UN’s Oil-for-Food program, and decided to switch to the euro as Iraq’s oil export currency. (Peter Philips, Censored 2004, Story #19: U.S. Dollar vs. the Euro: Another Reason for the Invasion of Iraq)

No wonder the propoganda machine against Iran is raging these days. See this next news item related to Iran:

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights contains the words "arbitrary" and "arbitrarily" when describing unacceptable conduct of interference with the rights given to the rightholders. For those of us who do not comprehend the meaning of this term, here is a classic example as experianced in the "only democracy" in the Middle East.

Israel seeks to change UK law

(Jerusalem Post Jan 5, 2010 ) Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon met with Britain's Attorney-General Baroness Scotland of Asthal in Jerusalem on Tuesday, to discuss the issue of changing UK law to prevent the arrest of Israeli officials and officers.

Kadima leader Tzipi Livni.

During the meeting, Baroness Scotland said that she is aware of the importance that Israel attributes to finding an urgent solution to this problem, and that the British are currently considering different courses of action aimed at solving the problem.

Ayalon called the current situation "insufferable," and said, "This will make it difficult for the two countries to maintain a normal relationship."

The deputy foreign minister also bewailed the manipulation that organizations hostile to Israel were making of British law to carry out their goals. He stressed that most Israeli citizens - not just political figures and high-ranking officers - serve in the IDF. It goes against Britain's best interests, he said, to deter Israelis from visiting the country.

Shortly before the meeting it was revealed that a delegation of IDF officers canceled a planned visit to the UK last week, after the British hosts failed to guarantee that arrest warrants would not be issued against the invitees.  Read full story at source
